IMO X-Fi is a great solution for those who needs an 'entertaining' sound card without neglecting much sound quality for music lovers(like us ). If you do not play games or watch movies on your computer it's better to get a better sound card like the EMU series.

My iPod video do turn on eventhough I do not plug any earphones in the jack. I pressed the select button though. The auto pause do kick in if I pull out the headphones from the jack while listening to the songs.

Yup! You won't go wrong with the PA2V2. Its superb at it's given price. In fact I pair it with my SR325i currently. Saving up for a better amp though.

That volume is alright for Sony but way too loud for the Shures. I have an E4c and nerver crank out the colume more than 50%. Usually at the 35% region.

I certainly can't sleep with my 325i on. It's just uncomfortable, instead I just use my Shure E4c.

I only use a case if I bring a bag along if not I just keep those in my pocket.
