Equalization for L3000
Hello, after owning a K1000 for a few months and having listened to another pretty neutral headphones I am a little bit disappointed about my L3000, especially concerning the overwhelming bass. Luckily there are a few fellow HiFiers (perhaps also HeadFiers) here in Germany owning a HD53 V8...- Kruemelix

Dynahi questions (which item to buy?)
Hello, just a few questions concerning the Dynahi: - Do the HS-TWS heatsinks also fit for the amp board? IMHO they should, right? - How do I insulate the transistors from the heatsink? Any mouser/digikey numbers? - Mouser had no 3,57 kOhm resistors left for the PSU, do the 3,48 kOhm ones...- Kruemelix

Constructional differences between K1000?
Hi, I know, the question sounds stupid, but it bothers me already a while whether there are substancial differences between different old K1000. Other brands are changing the construction/diaphragms of their headphones every few years (afaik e.g. Beyerdynamic). Is it the same with the K1000...- Kruemelix

DIYClub V-03 worth it?
Hello, after seeing tkams amp, I realized that almost all parts were from diyclub, also the attenuator. For my Dynamight I wanted to use Elma stepped attenuators; but since the price is almost the same I was also thinking about the following...- Kruemelix

Audible differences between series and latter attenuators?
Hello, like the title says, I ever wanted to know whether there are any real existing AUDIBLE differences between series and ladder attenuators. I know that because of only two resistors in the signal path, ladder should theoretically better, but on the other hand from the CDP to the...- Kruemelix

Many Dynahi related questions - Help!!
After collecting 2000$ for a sft-audio balanced Dynahi, I realized that even with my poor electrical skills a selfmade-Dynahi shouldn't be too difficult. Soldering station, multimeter and other basic equipment are avaliable, so at least at this point there are no problems, am I right? And in...- Kruemelix

Some questions concerning balanced amps/headphones
After seeing that more and more people were building a DynaMight instead of a Dynahi, I am also considering doing so. But there are still some questions left: - as I saw, you can only plug in balanced headphones, with unbalanced ones, you will only hear mono - right? Is there any (simple)...- Kruemelix

E4c or Super.fi 5 pro ??
Hello, looking for already one month for an upgrade of my portable rig consisting of Sony MZ-NH1 (MD-Player) Shure E3c, I finally came to the E4c's and the SF 5 Pro's. The reason for this upgrade is the very detached/thin sound of my E3c. Yes, I am a little basshead and I like the...- Kruemelix

Possible Amp for the Omega II
Hello, as the title says I am searching for an amp for my coming soon O2. Unfortunately, I have never heard any equipment in this price range, the best was a 404 with the 007 tube amp and the 313 transistor amp. While the tube had the deeper/more impactful bass and better highs, the mids...- Kruemelix

Omega II or ATH-L3000 ??
Hello, as you can see, I am still indecisive between these two cans. Another problem would be that I won't be able to hear any of them before purchasing, so I need head-fier owning both (or at least one) of these cans to give me their expressions. The reason I want to buy an ATH-L3000 is that...- Kruemelix

Hello, because my RS1 is too precious for my portables, I thought about a cheaper Grado for them - or an Alessandro?
