The OpenHeart OH120 looks good. How do they sound compared to the stock cables?

Anybody using AK Connect via Wi-Fi connected to your amp? I noticed that after playing a few tracks, the app will become unresponsive and I have to close the app and reconnect. For the app to detect my SR25 will take a few minutes. Anybody have the same issues?

Yes but the volume dial in front is not. However, when connected via USB, the volume dial is lit.

Thanks for the suggestion. If I plug the USB cable to my Mac, the DAC will be drawing power from the Mac. That's fine if I wanna use the Mac as source. However, I want ti use my DAP as source therefore the USB cable should be connected to my DAP and not Mac. This is why I need eternal power...

No it doesn't. The iPower powers my Zen Can so I guess it does, doesn't it?

My iPower came with the Zen Can but does not include adapters. I tried connecting it to the Zen DAC but it doesn’t power up.

So I bought a cable which I can connect with my DAP to the Zen Can and DAC stack. I need power supply for the DAC since it's not connected to my computer anymore and thus cannot draw power from there. So I tried to use the iPower to power the DAC but it doesn't. Sorry for the noob question but...

I'm getting my balanced 4.4 cable tomorrow and I'll test it out on my Zen Can and DAC combo and let you know too.

Unfortunately these are my first headphone amp and DAC so I can’t provide any useful info, sorry. But at the prices they are going for and the ability to drive cans up to 600 ohms, they sure are awesome value with great sound to boot.

Got the Can and DAC combo last Saturday and absolutely loving how they make my headphones sing. Just bought 4.4 interconnect cable and waiting for it to come. Now I’m thinking of getting some speakers to connect to the combo. Any suggestions?

Hi guys. Just bought the Zen DAC and Zen Can and connected to my iMac via the enclosed USB cable. However, there's no sound coming from my headphones. I connected the pair to my Windows notebook and there was sound. Can anyone tell me what's wrong? Thanks in advance and sorry for the noob question.

Thanks for your reply Neweywatt. I checked that thread and yes it does appear the impedance is 25 ohm. Looks like I won't need to ponder over what portable amp to buy now.

Thanks for your reply Skullar. I tried it with the SR25 and needed to push the volume quite high. Maybe I'll change the cable to 2.5 balanced and get more power.

Sorry for the noob question. I'll be getting a pair of E-Mu Teak headphones soon and wondering whether do I need a portable amp to power it. Will a DAC / AMP like the IFI Hip DAC bypass the SR25 so that the music I'm listening to will be processed by the DAC / AMP?

Gonna get a pair of the teak soon and just wondering what portable amp would you guys recommend? My DAP is the A&K SR25 which most likely won't have that much juice to power them. Thanks in advance for your replies & suggestions.
