Good advice. I’m iOS so the qudelix is one of the few good EQ options for me on the go.

I’m using oratory’s 8XX eq and it’s pretty good. I’m not sure why you’d want to physically change the headphone if you aren’t using them portable. Even if you are using them portable, I’d suggest getting a Qudelix 5k and adding eq there. Works great on mine.

No doubt. I'd take a real hard look at what DAC features (balanced, line out, PEQ, etc) are desired and pair it with a reasonable amp. In the dark ages, way back in mid-aughts, I ran my HF1 off of anything and I still do. I have to be more mindful of what I hook my planars up to.

Spending kilobucks on driving Grados seems like a poor allocation of resources to me.

I think the HF3 sounds pretty good with flat pads.

The pads that come with the 6xx are identical. The pads that drop sell separately are not.

I emailed TTVJ 3 weeks ago. They said the regular TTVJ pads are the Hemp pads. I ordered the deluxe for my HF3.

That's true for many senny, especially when not in a quiet environment. I just think if the OP likes the SQ of the senns he should get them first. Everything else surrounding them will attenuate the sound but not change its identity.
