Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I would keep the MTW4 for now as nothing excites me when it comes to new TWS nowadays. It feels like many of them just provide a different “flavour” and some new features but not always a huge jump in the sq department. Back to your MTW4, if they fail again just get them replaced and flipped...

Seems like the Beoplay EX age pretty well and their price drop in some places. Disclaimer: I don’t own them myself.

Try to switch in the Settings to Aonic 215, from my experience this adds more oomph to the sound. I had tested a few IEMs with the TW2 adapters and the loss was minimal in terms of sound and imaging.

Same here. I’m often here keeping myself up to date with the thread but kind of slowly going back to my old gear and when it comes to TWS I’m content with my Shure TW2 adapters + UE900 for the best sq.

Before I bought the Shure TW2 adapters I checked with the a local shop and was told the Fiio adapters were plagued with software issue and their product support is almost nonexistent.

Glad to hear you’re enjoying the TW2. Would you mind sharing the photos of the adapters with the ety setup? I always appreciated Etymotic and will consider the EVO or one of the ER variations.

I wasn’t a big fan of the whole adapters idea and bought the Shures just because it was a great deal on Amazon and thought I’ll return them if anything. I liked them enough to keep them and they really grew on me. Tried a few TWS after but when it comes to sq they are no match. Also the adapters...

He has a bunch of TWS that he hasn’t reviewed. Probably just taking them for a spin to see if they worth his effort.

If he don’t like it, he ain’t reviewing it :)

Looks interesting. I always liked Mee Audio (Aka Meelectronics) since I started my Head-Fi journey many years ago.

Glad to hear you’re liking them so far. For what else is out there, I find the Shure to be the total package. Like you mentioned, the Go might be have better tonality but the Shure does everything else much better. Don’t forget to pick the device in the Settings. When you pick the Aonic 215 it...

It’s a shame because with more up-to-date software and features it could have been a winner despite the hefty price tag.

I think you will be quite happy with the performance of the adapters. You can also give them more juice when in the settings you pick the SE215 as the default device. Let us know. The ambient has many levels to choose from. The max levels are hissy but amplify well. EQ is seriously the best...

I have seen these a couple of years ago. They looked good. Not sure if they are the same now but the Amazon photo looked identical to the actual adapters. https://www.amazon.com/OEAudio-MMCX-0-78mm-Adapter-Clear/dp/B07XKWJK6T?th=1&psc=1

Yeah, they don’t unfortunately. Only 3rd party adapters.

It is not the most recent technology and AFAIK no separate amp/DAC. I reach to them the most because they have great battery life and as reliable as they get and they sound great with other IEMs. I’m sure there are more powerful adapters out there but they all based on reviews alone feel like...

Like I mentioned here a few times; the Shure TW2 are my favourite. No ANC, great app and ambient mode. Excellent for calls too with the side tone; single side use and such. The sq is definitely better than many TWS. The case is on chunky side but it’s alright. Definitely worth considering IMO.

I don't think the perfect adapters exist or will be available anytime soon. The Shure TW2 is a good one and very reliable but isn't the most powerful. Some adapters are more powerful but they are so buggy it makes the whole listening experience not fun at all.

I remember trying it a good few years ago. The fit was decent but it was lacking bass big time and I’m definitely not a bass head. I recall asking the guy at the store, “what am I missing?” Lol

How did you like the Audio Technica TWX9? Interested in sq mainly compared to other top tier TWS. I can get them rather inexpensive nowadays.

Damn! The shape is really odd, no? Newer yes, but wonder if it’s an upgrade over the TWX9.

I have been such a good boy, haven’t bought any TWS for nearly 2 years. Sadly, nothing really excites me nowadays.
