Have had great results changing the stock tubes on the HP4 for the Sophia Electric 6SL7 tubes. Problem with the EAR chassis is it only takes short tubes so I had to cut out the vent opening to allow the HP4 to accept the Sophias. Worth it as these tubes are the best I've heard with this amp...
