What are your favorite streaming methods? I was going to upgrade to spotify premium but before I did maybe there are better options out there for streaming?

Does anyone think it's practical to use a iPod transport with a burson ha-160/da-160 combo with lcd2 headphone? Not looking to use a computer for my music source because its old and crappy. Any suggestions would be helpful as t his is my first rig. I haven't bought anything yet.
