Hiby R6 Pro - serious upgrade to popular DAP
Well I tried that driver and it still has the same amount of lag. I've checked in device manager to make sure it's using the Microsoft-provided driver instead of Thesyscon one from HiBy. This lag does not occur using the same headphones with a different dac/amp.- Drakonas

I guess I didn't think to try that. I guess I don't need ASIO since WASAPI is available. Thank you.- Drakonas

Hiby R6 Pro - serious upgrade to popular DAP
I'm using the only driver I've seen. The one that was posted here back in March, which seems to be the same one posted here now: https://store.hiby.com/apps/help-center#!usb-dac-driver-download-and-installation-guide But the driver is from 2012. It's old.- Drakonas

Hiby R6 Pro - serious upgrade to popular DAP
Does anyone know if there is a way to reduce the ~500ms lag between the time the audio leaves my PC and hits my headphones using the DAC feature of my R6 Pro. The lag makes video games impossible. Music and video games is fine, but it'd be nice to use this as a portable DAC that has no massive...- Drakonas

Should I be seeing EMI interference with the SE port though.... I don't think that's natural. Also, with the new update, would this cable now work? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Type-C-to-3-5mm-Gold-Plating-Coaxial-Cable-for-HiBy-R3/264284687333- Drakonas

I didn't think anything of this, but I have this issue as well with the SE port connected to my Beyerdynamic Xelento Remote, except the click is in the right IEM after the hiss stops after 10 or so seconds. I thought it was just normal as I could barely hear it with my high volume music before...- Drakonas

Damnit. I just ordered one of these. :/ I figured it was just simple USB OTG and it would work. I thought the person was sharing this saying they had it working with their R6 Pro. Next time test something yourself before you blindly recommend a product please. Thankfully the eBay seller was...- Drakonas

I had this same problem, until I was told by MusicTeck, the US seller, they had never seen this. They told me they are willing to replace it, but to first try the steps to make sure you're up-to-date (I already was), wipe cache, and reset to factory settings. Surprisingly, that fixed my battery...- Drakonas

Be aware that the adapter that comes with the R6 Pro from HiBy is reported to add this hiss. The Cayin adapter from MusicTeck or any other adapter you can probably find of good quality is reported to not have this hiss. Multiple people in this thread have confirmed this. It is the adapter HiBy...- Drakonas

I have the LG V35 ThinQ which has the same quad dac standard that LG is putting in all their flagship phones nowadays. The difference with the R6 Pro, even without messing with the EQ, is night and day. The Soundstage and instrument separation cannot be done as well with simple DAC setups like...- Drakonas

You can also just put a cover.jpg in the folder with the music, and HiBy Music and other players generally pick that up as the artwork image. No tagging needed.- Drakonas

My battery issues were fixed after I wiped the cache and did a factory reset. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the driver or not, but whenever a system sound plays and I am listening to music with MusicBee... the sound system seems to crash... all sound goes dead for a bit and MusicBee crashes. The audio is also skipping randomly. I'm on Windows 10 Pro 1809 64-bit...- Drakonas

Strange, People in this thread report issues with the Cayin adapter having noise too. I heard HiBy is working on an iEM Match adapter to fix the 4.4mm port noise issue. Expected some time in April.- Drakonas

The rating officially goes up to a 512GB SD card, but the tech should support up to 2TB (the max for both FAT32 and SDXC technologies). Of course 2TB is not currently available and 1TB's are very VERY new and going to be expensive when they release in April this year ($449.99 USD). They will be...- Drakonas

I wasn't aware that changed. Thanks. I've stayed away from Apple for audio ever since the iPod Touch decided to put horrible sound out of the 3.5mm ports. It was such a letdown compared to the old phat iPod designs. I used to have to use a cable splitter that would connect to the large ass...- Drakonas

Just an FYI if you ever recommend this to someone, any music purchased through iTunes store has DRM. That DRM has to be removed before it will work in something other than the Apple ecosystem. If the music was ripped from CD's, it will be as simple as you are explaining though.- Drakonas

What I mean is it still places the "The's" in the T's but it will use the second word to randomly sort. I'm not sure. I haven't fully tested that. I'm wondering if it has something to do with file dates. Idk.- Drakonas
