Why is bass so popular?
I think when you are a newbie (that is to say, dont know anything about what good sound sounds like) you make up your own rules, just going by what you know. In today's low grade consumer electronics (that the masses eat willingly) bass really sets apart bad electronics from each other...- Seijang

first impressions of Shure E4G's
I think with a little time you'll find they completely overwhelm your speaker setup in terms of sound quality (if your reference to the 5500 was logitech..)- Seijang

Hmmm...guess burn-in is real...
I'm a headphone newbie compared to most people, but I'd like to relate my experience. I dont have any hard data, I am simply a college student who scrapped up enough cash to buy himself an amp and a pair of headphones. Headphones : DT880 (old vers) I came into headphone-listening a firm...- Seijang

Upcoming portable players... why don't they keep it simple?
What I really want is an optionally informative interface that allows MAXIMUM freedom (ie whether I can or can't use iTunes or drag and drop..forget the 3rd party workarounds) along with a updateable support for music codecs with a plethora of playback options. Sounds like a bit much but in...- Seijang

Well, since this thread has devolved into a state slightly higher than idiocy, and since Jashugan came out and told us how he really felt about us, I think we can lock this one and let it die.- Seijang

I can't believe I read 9 pages of this thread. What do we have here?
