    Sony MDR-EX600: Impressions Thread

Does anyone know how do these compare to the Monster Mile Davis Tribute or the Yamahas eph-100? I found on this thread someone saying that he preffered these over the MDT's but nothing more. Thank you!

Quote:     I also think they complement each other. The yamahas to me have more detail, clarity, speed and  provide better comfort. Also, they have a wider soundstage. While on the other hand, the MDT's sound more musical, they have better bass and mids, and definitely have a...

Quote: But there's not any official confirmation on that, right? I take care of  my MDT's but at the same time I feel secure knowing that there is a lifetime warranty. Anyway, lately I've been using more my Yamahas eph100 for the gym (they are more comfortable). But I used to have more...

Quote: I agree about electronic music and the MDT's, these are great for working out for example. (yes I use my MDT's at the gym, no problems so far in almost 8 months :P ). And I've come to really like the flashy look they have, give it some time and I'm sure you will too ;)

Quote: Thank you very much. I understand now after looking at your pics. Mine are real (I already knew that, but now I have more proof ). And by the proof of purchase I suppose you mean the invoice. Like I said, I bought it to J&R Store trough Amazon.com, so the purchase is registered...

    Monster Miles Davis Tribute thread

I have a similar question. I mean, I'm sure mine are not fakes, I bougth them from J&R (authorized seller) trough Amazon.com on July last year (I have the black box, I think the brown one wasn't available yet) and they sound amazing. But, what would be a "real proof" for example if I ever wanted...

    Monster Miles Davis Tribute thread

Quote: I really didn't like the supertips, they weren't comfortable at all to my ears and made the sound muddy IMO. In the other hand, is not the form of the meelec what makes them comfortable, they are comfortable because of the flexibility and "lightness" they have, I think. Sorry if I...

Quote: The meelec tips also have single flange tips that are good too! In fact, those are what I use the most. The driver sits a little to close to the ear, but they gain a lot of detail and are really comfortable.   About the complys, I had a pair of blue ones in the MDT's some...

Quote: Are they really discontinued? Is there any news on that?   @BustyBloke:   The best tips for the MDT's are the meelec ones IMO. They were recommended a lot on this thread and I got a set because of that. They are really good for comfort. Also, using the MDT's over the ears...

    Monster Miles Davis Tribute thread

Wow! why are they so cheap now? I payed 250$ last year for them and I tought that was cheap . Is this an offer or are they lowering the MDT price to 150$ from now on?

    Yamaha EPH-100

Quote: I'm not saying the MDT's are uncomfortable (but they can be when using certain tips), just that the Yamahas win in this aspect. The MDT's are great, and have their own strong points when comparing them with the eph100. For example, their cable, connections and overall materials...

    Yamaha EPH-100

Quote: I have both the MDT's and the Yamaha's and Selenium is right. The monster's have a lot of bass (a bit better than the Yamaha's in that aspect to me) and the mids are forward and beautiful. The bad points of the MDT's are the soundstage and the comfort ( Yamaha's win in this case ).

    Yamaha EPH-100

I was ordering a gr07 trough ebay this morning (haven't payed yet) and then I found this thread.  After reading all your opinions I looked if this earphone was available nearby and got it for 98 euros shipped to my home (It will be here next Monday). Now I have to find a way to cancel my order...

Quote: I'm using the meelec tips that were suggested on this thread (single flange). They are the most confortable I've found. I used sony hybrids once with other earphones, but they weren't my cup of tea. Quote:   That's what I was thinking. But I had to ask anyway. Does...

I love my MDT's but I really wish they had more soundstage. I use them with a Zune Hd and a Clip+. Is there any tip that could help in this regard ?
