Recommend me a pair of wireless Bluetooth earphones

I am currently using a pair of wireless Bluetooth earphones I bought from a local store for RM 59 ( usd20) some time ago. Looks a ripoff from the LG design iem. Few problems with this unit. 1. There is a flashing blue and red light when I use it. Annoying since I use it at night. Disturbing...

Magnavox FW322C hi-fi humming in standby mode constantly

The hifi still works. This hifi is about 15 years old now. Bought in US and bought a transformer to go with it to use in a country with 240V. Just recently (a month) this humming noise started to occur. It hums in standby mode. The humming noise is constant and in two tones. It alternates...

Motherboard: Gigabyte Sniper.M5 or Asus ROG Maximus VI Impact for best onboard soundcard?

Which motherboard should I go with? The Gigabyte has a creative sound card. The ROG has a supreme impact sound card. I can't find details of the Creative chip on Gigabyte's website. Also I don't know what is the Asus codec. Maybe a Xonar or a Realtek-ALC codec?   Thanks for the feedback.

Are there headphones that allow in ambient noise? (for office use)

I work in an office, but I want to listen to music, without disturbing people. I also need to be able to know when someone is knocking at the door. So far the only method I found is using cheap Sony MDR earbuds/earphones which came with my mp3 player (or was it cassette walkman). I tried my Sony...

Need replacement for 10 year old broken Philips HP890. Good sound, comfortable and not that expensive.

I have been using the Philips HP890 for about 10 years now. Then the arm broke between the silver ring and the body above. More pictures in another thread. I tried superglue, and duck tape-did not work. Superglue does work at all while with duck tape does work, but the joints slowly loosen and...

Does anyone know any portable headphones that does not leak for commuting? The smaller the footprint the better. IEM's, earbuds and earclips are no-go for me.

    Need reccomendation/short list of IEM's with wired controller/mic use with sgs2 <£70

Most great earphones do not have controls. The choices are quite limited. Things which I have found so far (not short list) - Sony MDREX38I - NOCS NS400 (not sure if it does work with the sgs2). Works with apple products. No mic, has 3 button remote - Soundmagic E10 - Altec Lansing...

Are Samsung Galaxy S2 IEM tips interchangeable or of standard size? Lost one tip, need a replacement with control on wire...

The SGS2 IEM's are quite decent. Given the fact I only listen while commuting once every few months, a dedicated IEM with the control on the wire is useful with Poweramp app-no need to take phone out of the pocket. I also tend to just place them everywhere during commute, so makes me slightly...

Are surround sound headphones worth it?

I had a 5.1 speaker setup and that was great-only problem wires everywhere and space putting a 5.1 setup. With a headphones, at least the footprint is small and I don't disturb everyone else and will always get good sound as the speakers are always in position (in the headset). With a proper...

How durable (longevity) are the Soundmagic PL50?

I've pretty much made up my mind that this is the highest amount of cash (£38 excluding shipping) I'm going to buy an earphone. I've used cheap sony MDR earbuds which came with my walkman 5 years ago and its still going. I'd figure an upgraded earphone would be good since I use them occasionally...

Need recommendations on good pair of in-ear earphones for mp3 player

Is it possible to get in-ear earphones which have the same sound quality on par as a pair of Creative T20 SII? It also has to be comfortable. I plan to use it with my mobile phone which doubles as an mp3/movie player. My budget is ~£50. Cheaper the better. I don't believe paying a higher amount...
