    replacing Zen Xtra Screen?

it got cracked. Well, just the plastic cover part. The screen still works fine, but it's just kind of annoying looking through the crack. Is is possible to order this part and do the repair myself? Has anybody had to send one back to the factory for this, if so, how much was it?

I want to build a XLR A/B switch.... help?

I need a ballanced stomp-box or pedal that has one XLR in and two outs. I need it to be a silent switch too.... so no *click* when I switch from channel A to B. I just don't know enough to figure this out by myself. Can any of you help me?

    DIY Cable Gallery!!

my problem with Mogami was that they use a spiral shield instead of a braided one like Canare does (at least that was the case with the stuff I used). The spiral shield is much more likely to suffer gaps from movement, and that's not appealing to me.

    DIY Cable Gallery!!

when you guys use the same cable for the "Y" and not the wires inside one cable (like CollinT has done above)... what are you doing with the extra wires insed the two sections of the "Y"? So, if the mini connector is on one length of starquad, and the RCA's are on two individual lengths of...

question about px100 vs px200 (help)

I've got them both, and I've A/B'd them before. All I remember is the 100's sound a lot better. I don't recal one being louder than the other. Also, I'm wondering what's going on if you're able to turn up your ipod to 100% volume. I don't think I've ever had a piece of gear that I've been...

Increase E2C soft flex sleeve isolation

did those soft sleeves come with your e2c's? mine only came with the foam and the clear rubber ones. Also, the small foamies fit my ears pretty good, and I'm doubting I can fit anything more in well, anybody else experience this?

    greatest rock screamer?

this one just came to me... DIO! ok, so the music is pretty bad, but he had a massive range and incredible control. he could do his screams in a few octaves if I remember right... and it's been a long time since I've listened to a dio record. I guess I'm not saying he's the best, because the...

    greatest rock screamer?

i find danny filth to me my most hated sound in all of music (more than even the harpsichord). he does one thing well, and that's treating his voice like crap untill he can't do that even anymore.

    greatest rock screamer?

I'll give mike patton credit as being a very dynamic singer, but to call him the best screamer I don't think is valid... but to call ANYBODY best screamer I think is pointless. Not to mention tonal prefrences but also styles. as much as I hate Metalica now, James Hatfield has a great "pure...

Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth leaked onto the net in full earlier today

I'll be buying the CD, but I'm scared and have been since I heard he uprooted from New Orleans and moved to LA... that's almost never a good sign. affordable shielded cable component suggestions?

you could also try something like canare's GS6. I've had pretty good luck with that. it uses an insulated core with a braided sheild so it's only two conductor. It's pretty nice stuff. I use it on a lot of guitar cables and stuff like that. The signal wire is prety well hidden under the ground...

    making Video cable

So, I'm getting a new DVD player (I've been using my PS2). I figure I should be able to make cables for this DVD player too... I mean it's all still RCA, but I don't know what is required for Video cable. I tried searching but didn't get a clear (or basic) enough answer.

we could make some jokes about how well this works for those who have trouble seeing the joints they're working on, but that wouldn't be very relevant. but, really, i do normally at least turn the celing fan on when I'm soldering. Since our bodies are possitivly charged, the smoke is...
