    Just received the X3 and am testing with the Sennheiser HD-25 I/II and AKG 550s. Aside from minor niggles on the UI, the sound quality is the best i've heard (so far) on a portable device. Rich overtones on bass, lyrics that I can make out for the first time, and plenty of power for both phones.

    Top marks for case, cables and general build. Bass is good, not at bright as the Sennheisers that I lost on an airplane. Better suited to 320 mp3 files than FLAC.

    I have the blue model. There are two cables - one for Android and one for Apple. Not the best mic on my iPhone 4 but I think the phone on that unit isn't up to scratch compared with newer Androidsl

    A2DP - how does it work?

    It's good from FLAC source files but not as full range (frequency response or dynamic range) as with cables. I've the Soundmatters Foxl with an A2DP feed from an iPhone 4.

    FLAC Player for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad

    Good app - works well with iPhone 4. Sound quality is superb even with built-in iPhone 3.5mm output jack on top of the phone.

    High efficiency closed back - comfortable to wear for long periods - good for use in quiet office so you don't disturb your colleagues. Bass a bit weak.
