Try going for noise isolating than cancelling if you want pure silence. IEM's ar eht ebest for that, and as for your irregular ears, you can try and get custom molded ones, tht could help you out. Ive heard a lot of good things about grados and metal, since theyre pretty damn energetic headphones, bu their not closed back nor that bassy.   for grados get Grado SR60s or if you can find them SR80s for closed im gonna recommend Beyerdynamic 770PRO
