Taking the Grado RS-1 plunge
I don't want to change your mind but I have RS1's and RS2's and I can't tell the difference between the two maybe a bit more bass in the 1's but they are so close.I use the RS2's for portables now, but I feel that I wasted some money on the RS1's but what the hell it is only money.- Charles

impressions from RS-1 audition
I own the RS1 and the RS2's and I hate to say this but I can tell very little difference ,the 1's have a bit better bass but I have only had the 1's for a couple of months and I have had the 2's for a long time. I only use my Grado's for eletronic music I prefer Senn's 600 for acoustical stuff.- Charles

Grado 325 without amp
I have some RS-2's that I use with a portable and they sounded pretty good with no amp but JMT built me a CHA47 amp and it made quite a difference much tighter bass, and a fuller sound plus better highs.I was surprised at the difference.- Charles
