Well leather tends to breathe better, not get as hot or sticky but no, if they were available I would not buy them until replacement time.

Why do they have the plastic wrap on the plates is it for protection for the plates or user? For an electrostatic headphone the price is low but just tell the average Joe you paid 600+ for headphones to see "the look".

I agree about the battery pack, and the marketing. The battery is not very useful if you need to buy batteries all the time. I am in an area where there isn't an outlet so it could be useful if I can get the proper rechargeables.
