RockBox For HiFiman HM601 and for HM801
I just got my HM-601 back from repair yesterday after almost have a year(!) and I feel tempted to finally install rockbox on my device. So far I downloaded the rockbox.zip file, the bootloader and everything but I can't seem to find the latest firmware. My device currently runs 0.11 but I'm...- Scizz

RockBox For HiFiman HM601 and for HM801
Yay not that's good news. Glad there's still progress. Now I don't want to sound ungrateful in any way as I do appreciate the work very very much but have you got any idea when we will be able to use the internal memory on the HM601? Because that's the main issue holding me back from...- Scizz

RockBox For HiFiman HM601 and for HM801
Quote: Second that. Any news on that? Would be sad to hear it got cancelled. When I first heard about Rockbox for the Hifiman it actually got me hyperventilating in excitement, as the HM's only weak spot is the stock firmware.- Scizz

HiFiMan HM-601 Appreciation, Discussion and Review Thread
There's no buzzing noise with my 601. Only if I turn it up to max volume but I guess there's always some noise if you do so. And I usually keep the volume around 2/10. I fear I'd ruin my hearing if I crank it up using IEMs.- Scizz

HiFiMan HM-601 Appreciation, Discussion and Review Thread
Quote: I guess that would work out as a last resort. But then again the albums are sorted by alphabet and not by artist. So when I want to go from "Cath without arms" to "The pariah, the parrot, the delusion" by the same artist, I'd have to do a lot of scrolling... It's hard to...- Scizz

HiFiMan HM-601 Appreciation, Discussion and Review Thread
Quote Anaxilus: Okay, I've checked that, loaded the files into foobar and it told me: Samplerate: 44100 Hz Bits per Sample: 16 Channels: 2 So I guess the hifiman should play those files just fine. Still I can't get the folders to be sorted by alphabet. I took out...- Scizz

HiFiMan HM-601 Appreciation, Discussion and Review Thread
Ok, thank you for your report. I'll try an play around with the folders to see if I can get it fixed. In the meantime I've found another issue. Some of my FLAC files appear to be broken when played on the Hifiman (track is skipped or a lot of noise in there). Though they work fine on...- Scizz

HiFiMan HM-601 Appreciation, Discussion and Review Thread
Hi there! I just got my 601 yesterday and as far as SQ I'm pretty hooked. It sounds stupendous. But there's a bit of a letdown concerning the UI. I'm used to browsing my music via folders. So I select "SD Card" or "Flash On Board". Now here's where the annoying part starts. The player...- Scizz
