As pointed out, these IEM's are ******* awesome! I find them far better then my GR07's as the soundstage is just so much better. The bass is also really great. 

These headphones are far better then the GR07's. Had a few months to get use to them and compared them today. The soundstage of these is so much better it's kind of funny. They also seem more balanced.

  My GR07 BE felt like it had more. It's not an inadequate amount. The highs are quite harsh though.

  Have you heard the Sony MDR7550? and the XBA-H3?  If so, how do you reckon they compare to the EX1000.   Also, how would you rate the quality/quantity of bass on the 7550/EX1000 compared to the GR07BE?

Has anyone listened to the GR07/GR07BE and the MDR7550's?    I don't need excessive levels of bass but i would really like the 7550 i ordered to have at least the same level of bass as my GR07 BE. Is that wishful thinking?

  Had the GR07 BE. Great sounding headphone but 'slightly' lacking in the amount of bass i'd like. Would have bought a new pair once my old ones broke but they aren't really that handy on the go as they look funny and my wire kept slipping from around my ear. 

Having owned both, i would say the BE sounded slightly better and had a marginally extra amount of bass output. I'm no audiophile though :P   The BE looks worse though with it;s candy-like looking cable which is more rigid. 

There are JVC HA-FX700's on ebay for around $250. Does anyone make fakes of the FX700's? Wouldn't mind paying that considering the $-£ exchange rate is fairly good at the moment. 

As the title says, what are the best basehead portable headphones for up to £200 (high 200 dollar wise) in your opinion?   I've had a look at the M100 so far but they look a bit strange.
