or you can resolder the joint. that's usually the joint problem on the cable.

Also, try cleaning your ear. My experience, if the buildup earwax on one of the ears is bigger or larger, it will result in headphone listen imbalance. So that's why we need to clean our ear every 6 months.

I finally be able to upgrade the firmware. I use 10 yr old pc with windows xp in it... the difference in this 2.02 is really big. Now the UI is almost perfect.   I notice that it is still hot when I play couple of 24/192 wav tracks. I mean, not that hot, but noticeable when you hold it...

update: borrow my friend usb2 pc. windows7 64b also. It is now detected. but, when I press switch, the device froze itself..... so, yeah, I need to press little recessed button on the left side of the device to hard reset it... So far, I've been trying, still no result. I'm contacting this issue...
