They are Fazor ones. Never got to hear the rev 2.2s, i was looking at used ones after the meet but this deal for a brand new one was too hard to pass up. I hope the headphone bug doesn't come around again and i can stay happy lol. Good thing the next meet isn't until next year.

Mine were actually mad dogs 3.2s before i upgraded them to alphas. Bass sounded pretty much the same to me, The upgrade did change the cans to be be way more open though and became much better for 3D positioning for gaming. Soundstage was so close compared to X1s that i didn't need them anymore...

I had both of those headphones. The mids an highs are just another class on the alphas. Bass is drastically different though. It's sharp fast and accurate on the alphas whereas the x1 was deep and boomy. The alphas also need much more power I can't get to to loud enough levels on a phone or...

Wanted to try out tubes and get a bit more power to the Alpha Dogs. Bass seems thumpier from the first 30 mins of listening. Soundstage is wider as well. First impressions though. Pot is located the same place as the Asgard 2 both in high gain.  

My schiit just came too. replacing the Asgard 2 for my Alpha Dogs. 

Got home late but managed to snap at least one pic, I'll get better pics when its daytime. Paint looks great and they sound even better. Will a Lyr make them sound that much better than the AS2?

Yeah they're so shiny its hard to get a good pic of the sparkle on my nexus 5. I'll take some better pics with my real camera when i get home. 

Finally got my upgrade! hope the E18 can keep me happy till i get home from work and get them on the Asgard 2.
