I need to replace the headphone jac in my sennheiser PXC250-II. I cut the end off and now the cable has 4 wires (red, green, copper color, red) Would someone be able to guide me which wire connects to which in the 3.5mm plug? any help is much appreciated :)

I did have a look at it but they don't sell a push to hear module for it?

Can I use the shure PTH module with my triple fis? Or is there a generic PTH module that works with many in ear monitors?   cheaper the better, as long as it dosent interfere with the music sound quality.

So the connector was giving problems and i decided to replace it. I cut the cable and the wires look like this       I just brought a Neutrik 3.5mm TRS connector. But that accepts just 3 wires. How do I connect this to a TRS plug?

So I was thinking if the following was possible:   Get a KEMAR dummy head like this: http://www.ece.ucdavis.edu/binaural/images/KemarTapeRemoved.jpg   and place two microphones on his ear canals and measure the transfer function of the sound of a really expensive headphone say an HD800...

The reason I can think of is all the minute details in the music have low energies, and unless you crank it up those details dont have enough energy to move the membrane in the earphone at a sufficient level for you to perceive it.

hmm so far im with the UE triple fis. 

well ive owned a pair of grado sr80 s and a pair of etymotic er4p phones. The grado has more "Presence" and flavour if you will.   my other concern is im buying the audiotechnicas off ebay. people are selling them for like 180. im not sure if they are knockoffs or the real thing.
