    Sennheiser RS185 Review by mark2410

I just picked up the RS 185. I have it connected directly to the TV's optical out using PCM. I do notice a little noise at high volume and I was expecting the volume to get a little higher than it does. Is there a fix for this? There doesn't seem to be any settings that I can adjust. Basically...

    Sennheiser RS185 Review by mark2410

How is the clamping force of the 185 vs the 180? I know what people are talking about when they bring this up, I hate headphones that do this. How are the 185's in this regard? This may be the deal breaker that has me siding with the older 180's.

    Sennheiser RS 165, RS 175, RS 185, RS 195 - Impressions thread

Looking at getting either the Sennheiser RS 175 or 185 for a hearing impaired adult for TV watching. I understand that the 195 has enhancements for speech and so-forth for the hearing impaired but the 185 reaches the peak of our budget. I like the velor pads of the 185 and the surround...

AD700 good to be used as a gaming headset?

The sound stage of the AD700 is awesome, more impressively is the feeling of these headphones on your head for 8, 8, 12hr gaming sessions (I have a big head fyi). They do NOT get hot and your head does not feel like it was in a vice when you take them off. Very airy. I have an ASUS Xonar DX...

Ebay had a few auctions for $179.99. I never seen more than one bid for them, so the winner got them for $179.99 :P The guy just pulled all his listings yesterday. My guess because of this very reason :P Other got in on $249.99 (Or Best Offer) deals and won it with an offer of $180.

For people with a good dedicated internal sound card, why do they also get a DAC? Isn't the sound card already doing the conversion? Also I hear some gamers getting the USB Audio-gd Sparrow. In order to have some sort of 3d effect they would need something like a Mixamp correct? As far as gamer...

Tube Amp and 24/7 PC usage... problems?

I'm considering getting a Little Dot MKII amp. If I have these plugged into a PC and use that PC for everything 10hrs a day. Will the tubes fail more rapidly? I hear the old tubes, pre 1940's would last decades, but the more recent tubes last a fraction of that time. I hear people using tube...

    Beyerdynamic DT990/600 & FiiO E9 respect

OP petercintn, Looks like you use them with your PC. What is the source audio sound card for the E9? Do you game at all? If so is it competitive FPS? If so how do they handle the job? Been hearing that you should have a tube amp for the 900. But if the E9 does the job I just may look into going...

    Best soundstage up to $225

I was interested in the D2000 also. But the idea of the screw coming loose turned me away. I don't know how wide spread it is. http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/B000MVEC0Q/ref=cm_ciu_pdp_images_3?ie=UTF8&index=3

Sound Card to DT 990/600. Looking for the cheap path. Dot MK II?

$140 for the MK II looked good lol. I know that I could easily spend $20k if I had the cash. I'm just looking at the cheapest solution that would run the DT 990/600 for games properly. Maybe not FiiO E5 cheap (if it even had the power). From whatever the base line is I'll consider if upgrading...

Sound Card to DT 990/600. Looking for the cheap path. Dot MK II?

I currently own an Xonar DX sound card. Looking to acquire some cans that will both fulfill my fun and Competitive needs. The DT 990/600 looks sweet. The prices on these cans have SKYROCKETED recently. So I will be looking at a used/open box pair on Amazon for $200ish. The cheapest quality AMP...

Need help with a gaming audio upgrade

As a base to work with I have an Xonar DX sound card. To keep it cheap I'd like to stick with this card as it has been serving me well. But I'm open to suggestions if it seems like a critical component to upgrade. I am not a fan of background noise. I can hear cars drive by and other outside...
