My friend told me that 'Apple Lossless Format' is the best, but i think FLACs are the best. Your opinion?

I need to extend my Sennheisers, so a place to get a soldering iron that isn't crap (walmart) would be nice. My $8 one died out, the tip doesn't even get hot, only on the sides.
