I'm purely looking from a sound perspective, I don't need ANC, multipoint or any of that stuff. The BT adapters look interesting and I could use that solution at work but a pure TWS is just so convenient and small to carry about (I keep mine on me pretty much all the time). Under £150 ideally...

Yeah tried all manner of eartips, makes little difference. Oh well never mind, these are not for me. They are quite clear but they don't do anything amazing up top either, separation and staging is only average I would say. For me MH1 beats it hand down, unless you prefer a brighter signature.

No they don't look like that, going by those photo's they look genuine. But the packaging looks like the one Olorin mentioned earlier in this thread. If mine are genuine I've no idea how people can call them bassy by any stretch....easily the least bassy IEM I've tried

Well I just got a pair from Ebay and they are probably fakes. They have very little bass and don't sound much like being described here at all. My box looks exactly like that shown by Olorin earlier

Depends what you can get it for, I've seen some crazy prices for these recently. If you can get it cheap then for sure it's a no-brainer

Got the cheap m50 pads and they are not bad at all. Not made any full conclusions yet but I tried one original and one m50 at the same time so I can hear the difference....they isolate better, appear a little darker with a little less air. It's not not night and day difference, still the same...

I don't think they do, at least from the info on their site. I'll try and go through my local retailer to see if they can help. 1st things 1st, if the m50 pads are good I'll report back here

I'm not suggesting buying a pair for its pads silly :) But they look very similar so, as it is a current model, there's a chance we could pick up spares. The Yamaha website isn't very helpful though. I'll wait for the m50 pads first then if I don't like them try and track down some official...

Well it's worth a shot I think, they're only cheap so no biggy. Not sure what else to try....I could try the standard HM5 pads but I think they are too thick....these need shallow pads like the original. SRH840 pads? P/N HPAEC840......these look pretty good

Just purchased cheap M50 pads from FleaBay so I'll see how they go
