    Ultimate Ears TF10: Worth It?

Quote: I'd like to add something to this. The flip mod isn't for everyone. I'm one of the few people out there that actually get a perfect fit from the tf-10s using the stock setup. Do try out both fits though, experimentation is always fun with audio gear :) The TF-10s are for the...

IEM for metal? Thinking maybe DBA-02 or Q-jays.

Nope, the dba-02s are great IEMs that produce very accurate sounds, fast enough for metal and definitely won't produce the bassfarts but they just won't give the nice thump that the VBs can produce. I particularly enjoy feeling the bass down in my chest when I'm listening to metal, though I'm no...

IEM for metal? Thinking maybe DBA-02 or Q-jays.

Well I'm fairly new to the forums(as a poster anyway, been reading for ages) Anyway I listen to plenty of metal, amongst other things. I'd say DBA-02 is a good choice but if you really want to near some nice doublebass kicks that doesn't sound like farts you can amp the DBA-02 for more bass or...

IEMs bassier than ATH-M50 or Sony MDR-XB500 under $150?

get VBs, I owned both VBs and m50s and VBs with the 2dot plate installed are great bass-thumping monsters. They give good thumping bass, although less controlled than the m50s. Overall they have excellent treble and bass with decent mids, but are sibilant on some tracks.  There's probably a...

    Good Alternative To My M50's????

if you're thinking of amps, i've been lurking around the forums for a year or more and recently more and more people have been suggesting getting the e7 because you can pair it up with the e9 for a decent boost in audio quality for your home system

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum

I'm looking for IEMs with similar sound signature to my m50s. They have over 200hours of burn-in so they sound great.   I listen mostly to Metal, Rock, Classical and some Jpop.

Jays launching seven new products Spring 2010 - incl. x-JAYS quadro armature universal IEM

well it does say "A-JAYS 4: Unstoppable" on it. Guess it's really coming out? The price should be wrong though LOL that's really too expensive.  Anyway going off-topic a bit, how does your DBA-02 sound?

    Just ordered Audio Technica ATH-M50's

Oh nice I didn't know about the white box vs blue box thing, mine's from a white box too. You mean there was more bass than what I'm experiencing now? Wow. Mine's through with 150+ hours of burn-in and it's sounding really good. It's rare to find someone disappointed in the m50s haha, have fun...

Definitive recommendations where boxes need ticking...

Hey I have the same problem as you, swimmer's ears stopped me from using my hippos vb. I'd recommend ath-m50, sounds good and it's not very expensive. For similar sound quality HD-25 is good too and has more isolation but the m50s are more comfortable for long hours of use.

Best Headphones for wearing while away from home?

I'm another advocate of the m50s, they're really portable and don't leak sound in public, especially on the train so you won't get stares from people even if you enjoy higher volumes. Sound quality is excellent too at its price point. One gripe about it though, it doesn't isolate very well so...

    Best In-Ears for ~$30?

I'd recommend sonicgear earpump2, it's a Singaporean brand that I've hardly(read: never) seen posted around here. It goes for around $26 in singdollars so it's really cheap. They are a big upgrade from stock ibuds and has great bass. Treble is clear too, good fun earphones. The m6s are great too.
