I read into both types and searched for reviews to inform myself, but I am by no means an expert when it comes to headphones. I created this "useless post" in hopes of receiving advice from someone who is highly knowledgable in the subject, which I know many of you are.

Thanks a lot everyone. The avatar similarities confused me a bit, but after comparing the pictures the to ATH-M50's there is no question as to what brand and model they are.    Thanks again,   -Paul
