Panasonic CZs (HJE900) Appreciation Thread and Pending Review
Still loving my HJE900's, almost ten years on.. I'm not super happy with the replacement cables I've had to use (none of them seem to be quite perfect, sound can cut in and out at times) and it seems that the stems aren't a popular size anymore and it's getting harder to find replacement tips...- khaytsus

Replacement Cable for Panasonic HJE900
I know this thread is a bit old, but.... I've personally used three sets of M6 cables now and they all have the same issue. The earbud does not fit well on the connector and randomly goes in and out. My first cable both did it badly, my second cable the left did it a lot, and a few days ago...- khaytsus

AWESOME! Thank you for that reference, I didn't know of an alternative cable! I think I'll get a pair of these to have them on hand, just in case they go away in the future. I probably need another set of their eartips anyway, they're great but wear out after 4-5 months and start falling...- khaytsus

I suggest NOT buying Sleek cables, the last ones I purchased crackle and pop in right channel and it is NOT the buds, as my old pair of Sleek cables I busted the left channel sleeping in them (right was working fine) and my original pany cables both channels work fine. I've contacted them...- khaytsus

Sleek Audio replacement cables; DO NOT BUY
I really hate doing this. But I have to. I had a set of the Sleek cables ,before the "new" ones, and I eventually had a cable completely stop working on me. It happens, no problem. So I purchased a new cable, and in the meanwhile used my original Panasonic HJE-900 cable, which worked fine...- khaytsus

My SA6's died a few months ago and I haven't yet found a replacement other than $30 through Sleek. If anyone knows a place, please post. I'd love to replace them, as I liked wearing them over my ears. The original cables can be worn that way but not very well.- khaytsus

Tips of course make a big difference here too.. If you're using tiny tips or triple flange, you're going to get less thump out of these (any any IEM). I use M9 Natural's, also tried some others which are stiffer and both give a reasonable amount of bass. Foamies would be even MORE base. Coming...- khaytsus

My Pana's are still in full time use, although I only got them around 3 months ago. I'm not someone who has buds in 24 hours a day, but I probably average 2-3 hours a day during a work day (between meetings and people bugging me) and sometimes an hour or two at night (family.. interrupting my...- khaytsus

The sleek cables have a bump on the right channel plug, you can see and feel it. no problems here distinguishing right from left.- khaytsus

Quote: I haven't tried the stock tips, but I agree.. They would be fine without the raised section on the back side. I'm back and forth between 2 flange M9 and M11 tips that I got from suggestions in this thread.. The stiffer M11 tips seem to work better for me, the M9 Balanced are...- khaytsus
