OK, did some digging and understand what the issue is/was.  Macs create these additional files to aid with spotlight searches. They're normally hidden on the Mac but show up on the X3. This link I found gets into more detail...

Looking to revitalize this thread. I'm having the same issue, double tracks in album listings.  Not following the solution offered by uzi2. Cleaning system files?   Thanks.
