    Considering Adam A3X Monitors...

I'm looking for some great computer audio setup for my room. My price range is around 500$ but it can be higher (900$ max) I have a Macbook Pro with no other audio card or DACs.   I went to a local music equipment store today and they suggested the KRK Rokit5. I found them bass heavy but...

Poor isolation with SE535s and Comply?

I bought the lighter cable for my SE535s (the one compatible with iPhones). It's very light now, so I don't think is the problem.   I'm just not sure if I should go for longer or bigger.

Poor isolation with SE535s and Comply?

Seems fair and helpful. Shipping to Canada is a bit crazy though (about the same price as the tips), so I just want to be sure.   Anybody else?

Poor isolation with SE535s and Comply?

It has been about 2-3 weeks that I bought my SE535s and enjoy it a lot!   However, there is a slight issue that I found (for me anyways). Just before buying the SE535s, I had some SE115M+ and bought some Comply tips because it would be compatible with the SE535s as well.   With the...

    Portable Source for Shure SE535?

I'm not sure how this whole thing works, but if you consider the frequency range of the se535s (18Hz - 18kHz) and the iPhone 4, which I have (20Hz - 20kHz). Does that mean I won't be using my Shures to its full potential?   I have heard of FLAC players from the App store on the iPhone. What...

    Portable Source for Shure SE535?

I have an iPod and an iPhone, but I was looking for a better source before I get my SE535s. I'd be willing to spend about 200$ that can be stretched to 400$ if it's really "worth" it.   I do have access to tons of FLACs and my current music library has nothing under 192kbps, most of them...

Custom Sleeves Makers / Remolding Companies (list)

About two weeks ago now, I started to take my addiction for quality sound more seriously. After taking a quick look around the What.cd community for gears, I found that most discussions pointed towards HeadFi as a reference/source. For a while now, I was interested in finding some custom sleeves...

    Ear impression in Montréal, QC

Where can you get things re-shelled?   I also have some broken cables and I'm eyeing some used customs in the forums.   Also, what kind of foam are your impressions made of?   Does it comply with the Sensaphonics standard?   Quote:

Punchy, detailed IEMs - what to get?

Quote:   I've tried them and they aren't that great IMO. I found the Comply tips to give me a better seal and comfort. They also keep the punch of the bass, but that might be just me struggling to get a proper seal with the Supertips.

    Ear impression in Montréal, QC

I'm also looking to get some custom sleeves made for my future purchase of the SE535s.   I also live in Montreal and the company that has a partnership with Shure doesn't have any partners around here.   So, How did that appointment go?

Punchy, detailed IEMs - what to get?

Very informative, many thanks.   As you can see, I'm only 3 posts old and already amazed at the willingness to help of head-fi members.

Punchy, detailed IEMs - what to get?

Have you tried the SE535s?   How do they compare to your MDs?   Also, how does the Audio Technica ER-CK50M compare to the other tips? I find my MTPGs to be very heavy. I used to use the triple flange and it hurt like hell after 2 hours or so, since my ear canal was also supporting the...

Punchy, detailed IEMs - what to get?

About the MTPGs being punchy:   I recently bought some Shure SE110 because I wanted to compare Shure's sound signature to the MTPGs before I take the jump on the SE535s.   I found that the Shures had a deeper and slightly punchier bass. It might just be me, but still. The quality is very...
