I just got the Sony's recently and still need more time with them. The Z7MK2 has more bass and more forward mids than Elex. Elex is more spacious (bigger soundstage), better instrument separation, feels "faster" and is more detailed. Mids on the Sonys can also get a bit shouty on some songs...

Oriolus Finschi are absolute garbage in terms of sound. They lack highs and yet can still be harsh/sibilant in the lower/mid highs region. They sound like a lo-fi cassette from the 80s. They even have a "HI RES" sticker on the box. What a joke and disappointment. The package, box and the IEMs...

I would rate Semkarch CNT1 above TFZ 5S in the $70-$100 category. Same bassy signature but metal body and removable cable. I also think bass hits even harder and highs sound less harsh. Awesome IEM from LZ people.

The latest Windows 10 feature update (April) messed up something with this DAC when connected via USB. Device is getting disconnected, small pauses in music and lag. Reinstalling drivers didn't help, so I'm using SPDIF for now. Anyone else experiencing issues after the latest big W10 update...

Is it normal that I enjoy these more than the Fostex TH-X00. FH1 are not only more enjoyable with music and games but they are technically better in many areas too. Maybe its just my personal preference but still, $90 vs $400 Interesting :thinking:

They are more sub bass focused and my music has lots of it. They're not muddy sounding at all. Clarity and soundstage are all good. I like them more than IE80.

As a basshead I'm loving these. There is some serious sub bass here. At the moment I'm using the Schiit Bifrost Uber + Lake People g109 amp. Not sure how they sound out of mobile devices, but I'm really liking the sound.

I love this IEM, unfortunately it looks like I "broke" something. I lost all the lower frequencies and the only way to get bass back is to tape those small vents. This happened after I cleaned them. Perhaps I accidentally pushed dirt inside those holes and not out? Maybe I damaged something...
