good pair of open headphones for under $250?

Thank you everyone for all the advice provided. Since I'm totally new to this stuff, I really do appreciate all the help.   So, after some consideration, I'm going to decide between the HD600's and the AD900's.

good pair of open headphones for under $250?

The general consensus seems to be the AD900's, the DT880's, or the HD600's. Out of the three, would it be safe to say the the HD600 would benefit from a better amp sometime in the future? Or would either the AD900 or DT880 scale better?

good pair of open headphones for under $250?

I'm having some trouble finding the HD-600 in my price range. During my search, there was something about new and old hd-600s. How would the old ones compare to the new ones, and would the older hd-600 still be a better choice than the ath-ad900s?

good pair of open headphones for under $250?

Hm... Looks like there's a good price difference between those two. What would I gain or lose from the AD900 over the DT440?

good pair of open headphones for under $250?

Hello all, I'm looking for a pair of open headphones to wear at home. I'll mostly use them to watch movies and listen to asian pop music. It would be great if they were comfortable enough, so I could wear them for long periods of time. As for equipment, I only have a regular built-in sound...
