Ok would an ipod with an amp be an option as a good source for balanced phones? If not what is? Also what would be a good set up? I was thinking Denon but I dont know where to go from there. Can anyone recomend  from there.....cables etc. Mid to high end

It would be the whole deal. I plan on a balanced amp for future sets of headphones. If I'm correct a balanced amp could work as well for unbalanced phones so I think its a good investment.....correct me if I'm wrong. The sources would be a laptop and ipod. Not the greatest I know but all I have...

In anyones opinion would it be worth it to balance a set of hd 380 pro's or upgrade to another closed set already balanced.

I won't say money is no object but I will spend it if I need to. Sometimes better to have too much than not enough. These won't be my only set of phones. There will be more in the future.
