Free Burn-in Files
Burning in my recently acquired AKG K702 atm. Will pick up a Chord Mojo later today from the post office, have high hopes on this one! :) As for the effect of burn in, based on personal experience, I believe it differs depending on the brand. On some pairs I have not noticed any improvement in...- Frazze

Burn in
From my own experience i believe that burn in has different impact on different brands. The closest thing to objective changes after burn in that i noticed was with my first set of higher quality headphones, the Beyerdynamics. When they were fresh out of the box I plugged them straight in to my...- Frazze

Anyone else going to King Kong this week?
Unfortunately King Kong hasn't started yet in the small country where I currently am. I'm happy to read all the good critics though, because I had made up my mind, quite unfairly in advance, that it would suck. I will happily change my mind. A bit OT, I think that Gollum in lotr is some of...- Frazze

Getting started questions. *Newbie post*
About the burn in, it's ok to do as you are doing. Use not too low volume, but not so high that you get distorsion that can damage the phones. Since you have a phone that is a little harder to drive I guess you might get distorsion earlier from the headphone out of the stereo compared to a...- Frazze

What's the creepiest moment in a song you like?
I remember the first time I heard Careful with that axe Eugene by PinkFloyd. I was about 15 years old, lying in bed in my dark room dreaming away to that suggestive, tranquilizing opening of the song. Then, when he cuts himself and starts screaming and the music goes wild, I really freaked... -
What's Up with the "Slow-Posters"?
Hi my name is Frazze, and i am a lurker! Seriously, I think it is really hard to post. I get nervous that ppl won´t appreciate what I write, or that I write something that can be misinterpreted as something bad. Then I try and use as correct a language as possible and everything ends up...- Frazze

life is good
I live close to the arctic circle where it is almost completely dark in the mid-winter, so I know how it can feel when life seems mostly uphill (read winter-depression). BUT... I just graduated from med-school after many years of studies. I spent the last week relaxing, dining with parents...- Frazze

pan
Another thing worth considering could be a digital equaliser, like Behringer DEQ 2496 (or newer models if there are any, i am not updated atm). They are not too expensive, and apart from panning you could actually increase only the frequenzies that are impaired for you and thereby achieve a more...- Frazze

Odd bonus gift from an e-bay sale?
I ordered the eos 300d camerahouse and it came with the lens kit. Saved me a few hundred, nice! Once I got a strob packed in some corn-starch-material that resembled cheese doodles, quite a snack after some added herbsalt- Frazze

Two-cent tweak for K501--sweeter and punchier
Interesting tweak, since it's so simple. I have the DT831 which is a bit on the bright side and could use some more bass impact also. I'll try this tweak on them when I get home next week to see if they can benefit from it too. They are not as open as the 501 but who knows...I'll keep you...- Frazze

Best New Year's Experience; Where will you be at midnight?
My best new year EVER was 1995/1996 in a small town south of brisbane in australia. Byron Bay it was, stayed at ArtsFactory. It was full warm summer and the whole town was transformed into a giant festival á la 1969 with hare krishna and lots of people on vacation, jugglers and firebreathers...- Frazze

How to bypass cut-out unit in Wireless Headphone
EamonX1 I can't help you with the exact problem but I have some advice. You know about those tv-signal amplifer/enhancer boxes that you put in between the tv antenna cable and the TV? They can work really well in getting a stronger signal, and they are not too expensive either. That could...- Frazze

toothache for Christmas
Sorry to hear that your troubles aren't over. But you don't have that green putrid pus coming out like last time, I hope. Anyway you should be careful with those 16 aspirin a day, too much aspirin will prevent your gastric mucose membrane (the protective layer in the stomach) to form. High...- Frazze

How do you guys clean your backpacks?
I put my backpack in a plastic box filled with hot water and a little washing-detergent. I let it soak overnight. After that I simply rinse it in the shower. Then add the well cut vegetables and let simmer for half an hour, enjoy .- Frazze
