IMR Audio : Sonic Adventures & Impressions
I have also messaged them and will post and update with you folks when I can. It is interesting to say the least that Bob and staff have chosen to close off communication via FB messenger service. There exists multiple prebuild projects that have yet to be delivered. Ever since his news on...- bestbacon

IMR Audio : Sonic Adventures & Impressions
Regarding the Seraph, I myself am using Moondrop springtips after trying Spinfits and preferring the wider bore on the Moondrop. They are also a fair bit grippier similar to Azlas so are great gym companions. I've experienced major slippage with the old Rah's when things get sweaty but this...- bestbacon

Yes, and by different shell he means just asthetic changes. Both the size and shape will remain the same. Glad you got a set leaf, I also bought the ebay set on a discounted price compared to new (members price) . I've never spent 4 digit territory on any IEM for that matter, but there's a first...- bestbacon

IMR Audio : Sonic Adventures & Impressions
Thank you concept, guess I'll find out and report my findings when my set arrives. Interesting to note as well that Penon audio also seems to have sets of Seraph up for grabs too like the Elan+. Makes one wonder if only 50 sets were actually made. Then again it matters little since Seraphina...- bestbacon

Can anyone who has the old Rah and new Seraph speak to the sound comparisons between the two? I'm still using the old Rah while waiting for the Na Le but am interested in seeing what double the price would achieve in terms of sound fidelity. Much appreciated!- bestbacon

From the exact description they are "apposing" each other so two drivers that are placed closely together in contrasting fashion/effect likely to be in a push-pull configuration as mentioned by another member somewhere earlier in this thread. https://imracoustics.com/collections/instock/products/imr-zion-balanced-drive?variant=40228175511633 Bob has finally updated the Zion page for anyone looking for the dual opposing DD setup. Dear IMR aficionados, I've been out of the IMR space for around 3 years now after finding the IMR Rah. Having followed Bob since the Trinity Audio days and buying his last titanium in-ear before he created IMR, I have purchased the R1 Zenith, R2 Aten, and finally stopped at the Rah which I...- bestbacon

ORA GrapheneQ - The world's first Graphene driver headphone
Have to agree here, the stereo imaging in these headphones are ridiculously good, instrument seperation is on point. I can't comment on the bass besides the fact that it sounds well appropriated for a balanced sound. It doesn't sound anything as exaggerated as any Beats headphones that I've...- bestbacon

IMR RAH - Discussion / Impressions Thread
You know it's a dream come true when your Rahs arrive in Canada one day before Christmas! Thank you Bob and Merry Christmas to all! Edit: Having my first look at the differences between the Rah and Aten and it is instantly apparent that the Rah is much taller a unit. Additionally the cable...- bestbacon

I believe the Halcyon is Bob's answer to try to cater to a different niche that prefers a inverted V shape type frequency response. He is trying, just that it takes longer to implement when your ears hear a slight v frequency response to be best (most people prefer slight V's).- bestbacon

I paid around $420 Canadian for the Rah and hearing this makes me extremely glad I ordered one. £400 (total including shipping) is around $720 Canadian after currency conversion. This means that we effectively have a side grade with more tuning options (open/closed) for another whopping $300 cad...- bestbacon

A little easier to decide granted the Rah is still much cheaper than the Halcyon. Personally I enjoy bass too much so wouldnt consider it and just wait for the Semper myself- bestbacon

From what I've been told the Halcyon is supposed to be a side grade of the Rah rather than a revolution. It was apparently designed to be more mid and treble focused. Also interesting to note is that only 500 gbp will be applicable for the loyalty bonus. As the deposit of 100 can not be...- bestbacon

Just picked up my Btr5, have heard reports that the es100 sounds better in balanced mode in a youtube video made in Chinese. I will disclose my report in 2 days time. Woah I never expected this unit to be so thick. It honestly looks 1/3 thicker than the r2 and maybe similar to the Zenith when you include the adjustable port It really looks different in shape to the old pictures posted on IMR- bestbacon

Agreed, Bob's response time via Facebook is also exceptional and is open to questions regarding his development. I would love to see a custom electrostatic iem in the future from him if that would be possible.- bestbacon

If Bob's track record of releasing IEMs is any indication, he would probably just move onto newer IEMs. How many of his old IEMs can you really still buy from both companies that he was part of? Bob will probably just end up making new IEMs or CIEMs following the Rah release. It's exciting that...- bestbacon

Absolutely, I think myself and alot of other headfiers have followed Bob for a long time. If we can attest to one thing, it is the evolution of his sound. Not long ago were multiple BAs/Hybrids the rave of the iem industry, which subsequently now has evolved far greater leaps in driver...- bestbacon

You're absolutely right these IEM's are much more particular about the source quality vs the Zenith. Still burning in but I've already had to make the jump to Tidal Hifi in order to get music to sound more organic, especially with vocals.- bestbacon
