Sansa Clip+ Impressions
I agree with the above poster. I never really liked portable setups until I purchased the Clip+ (cost a little less than 40 euro on eBay UK). It fits perfectly in my HiFiMAN RE400 carrying case so my setup is always with me. Running Rockbox of course.- daisangen

New Audiolab DAC
Latest developments from John improving the M-DAC: http://www.pinkfishmedia.net/forum/showpost.php?p=1976560&postcount=969 Add in a lifetime warranty (excluding caps and such), sounds like a no-brainer to us Europeans. M-DAC is a terrific machine as-is, I can't begin to imagine...- daisangen

Pretty much everybody agrees that 0.99 is the worst firmware. 0.90 or A.10 are the only ones I'd recommend. They're first and last, respectively.- daisangen

Quote: Just wait for MPAX, the official PSU upgrade designed by John W. I think it'll be around £400 including mods to the M-DAC itself for optimal performance.- daisangen

New Audiolab DAC
Quote: What firmware are you on? You can see it by powering the device on while pressing the volume knob. If it's something else than v0.90 (initial version), vA.09 or vA.10 then you'd better install one of those immediately. I find the sound of all non-listed firmwares congested and...- daisangen

Bicycle-Fi!
I stumbled upon this thing of beauty lately. Handbuilt by Mr. Giovanni "CIÖCC" Pelizzoli himself and what's best, it doesn't break the bank. There's a serious lack of affordable track frames with chromed lugs (*drool*). I have a strong feeling I know what I will be building the...- daisangen

Proper power & output impedance for AKG K 702s: Grace m903?
I haven't heard the Grace but the specs will be more than enough. Can't you audition it before pulling the trigger? That's the only way to really tell if you like it.- daisangen

Sennheiser HD800 Appreciation Thread
Got my HD800 w/ Cardas cable yesterday. These are the first headphones that didn't wow me at the first listen. It's hard to describe, but these phones make me feel that I'm listening to the music, not the headphones. Needless to say, I'm loving them.- daisangen

Bicycle-Fi!
Here's my ride. I love how it looks, rides and is so low maintenance. Waiting for some Continental Gator Skins and Vittoria Randonneurs. The rear Vittoria Zaffiro Pro got trashed in less than 200 kilometers of riding with light skidding. Going to do something about the riser bar...- daisangen

Why do my HD650's sound so muddy?
Quote: Wait, what? Maybe ST is very different but STX is very much on the brighter side than dark. FWIW, I never managed to "un-mud" the HD650 no matter which source and amplifier I used. I never did silly recables costing more than the headphones though.- daisangen
