OH FYI, I used to own Ultrasone DJ1s (not Pro) and other variety of headphones... all with sad-ending stories but I wish to spend just a bit more now... which is why I am inquiring here and asking for your advice(s).

They're both within the price range that I can afford (at least around the shop here) and I'm wondering which one to get.   I would prefer sound quality over anything but the DJ1 Pros do have the "PRO" line edge (detachable cable, case, etc...)   I'm really wondering why the 780s are...
