Thanks a lot, sounds like the circumaural open-back AKG-K702 will be more than a safe bet  (with a headphone amp). I'm very excited, I thought I was limited to ear pad headphones due to the air pressure chamber I've experienced with all of my better headphones.

Did a little looking around and it appears the turtle beach headset is open-back? does that mean any open-back headphones would create no ear pressure and I would be fine with?
