Bad luck with headphone comfort - ATH AD700 and Beyerdynamic DT880

Thanks for the reply,   I would definately be getting full-sized. My ears are very sensitive to a pressure chamber. I have tried IEM and they were the worst for me...   Its a shame the MDR-F1s are not being supported or produced anymore... they looked VERY promising. I would buy some but...

Bad luck with headphone comfort - ATH AD700 and Beyerdynamic DT880

I've been having poor luck with finding comfortable cans, and it's really depressing me. Doesn't help my px100-IIs died last night... or at least something with the left speaker...   The ATH AD700 had the driver hitting/touching/irritating the top of my left ear...   The beyerdynamic...

Sensitive ears - looking for best quality most comfortable in my case

Thanks a lot, sounds like the circumaural open-back AKG-K702 will be more than a safe bet  (with a headphone amp). I'm very excited, I thought I was limited to ear pad headphones due to the air pressure chamber I've experienced with all of my better headphones.

Sensitive ears - looking for best quality most comfortable in my case

Did a little looking around and it appears the turtle beach headset is open-back? does that mean any open-back headphones would create no ear pressure and I would be fine with?

Sensitive ears - looking for best quality most comfortable in my case

Hi all,   Let me start with a touch of history :) I have owned a pair of bose Tri-ports. The pressure (of the suction, or isolating foam) hurts my inner ears. Have owned shure e5c in ear monitors. Painful... can't wear ear plugs either, if worn overnight I will wake up in pain.  ...
