The workaround if you don't want to disable charging completely is to turn on the Q5s first, then plug in the cable, then plug cable to phone.

Despite what this picture says, there is definitely back-charging going on when I use the CL06 cable with my devices (Hiby R6, Hidiz AP80, Huawei phone). I'm not talking about the device showing a notification that there is back-charging, the battery drain just happens noticeably faster. Also...

Indeed it would be great if Fiio could just release a firmware to fix the issue instead of having to rely on a somewhat inconvenient workaround.

On a side note, I was wondering whether you are able to connect the Q5s to the AP80 by Bluetooth? For some reason, my AP80 absolutely refuses to find the Q5s (even though every other device can pair with the Q5s just fine).

Someone posted the solution a few pages back and it's worked for me: 1) Turn on AP80 2) Turn on Q5s 3) Plug-in cable Done. If the cable is plugged into the Q5s before you turn it on, it will draw power from the AP80, but if you do it in this order, everything is fine.

I'm having the opposite issue, where my AP80 absolutely refuses to discover the Q5S through bluetooth (even though my phone, laptop, etc. all have no issues, and the AP80 can discover other devices just fine). Any ideas anyone?

Thanks, very helpful! If you don't mind me asking: any Ety specific MMCX adapter/moddable prebuilt cables you would recommend (preferable on Amazon/Ebay). My biggest fear undertaking this project is sourcing low quality material, and I would assume that you have a good idea of what works well.

How would I go about building myself this kind of adapter? I'd also be interested to learn how to build my own cables, the materials needed, etc. if you don't mind helping me out...

Can't get line in input to work no matter what... am I doing something wrong or do I have a defective unit? :frowning2: I just did more tests... if line in end is halfway plugged in, signal comes through fine. As soon as I push it all the way in, no more signal.

At the beginning of March, customer support told me balanced cables would be on the way in a month or two. Half a year later...

Just heard back from their customer service that the balanced cables (2.5mm version at least) SHOULD hopefully be available within 3-4 weeks.

Try going in Settings>Apps>Show system (Click the 3 little dots on the top right corner)>External Storage>Storage>Clear data/cache Repeat the same thing with Media Storage instead of External Storage. Restart. Try again. I've run into the same issue and that's how I fixed it, maybe it'll help...
