2013 LA Regional Meet Impressions Thread
Had a great time at the meet today, wish I knew more about headphones to really be able to tell the difference between sounds and the sort. I think my favorite were the Denon D7000 (Or was it D5000?) Now I'm going to have to read up on the sound science and everything more just so that I'd be... -

Official Los Angeles Regional Summer Meet - Saturday, July 20, 2013 Warner Center Marriott, Woodland Hills
If I plan on going do I just reply to this thread? Or do I have to buy the ticket asap via the link you have up? I want to go as an attendee just to try on some gears since I don't really have much myself but this is my first time so I don't really know what to do or what to expect. Thanks.- WhiteThanatos

Emotiva XDA-2
Thanks for the quick response! It's a schiit asgard that I was planning on connecting to the rca outputs, while using the balanced outputs for a pair of active studio monitors that I have. I wanted to be able to be able to switch between the rca and the balanced outputs so that when I use the...- WhiteThanatos

Emotiva XDA-2
Hey guys, I'm interested in this dac, but I was wondering that if I connected my speakers and an amp to it, can I switch between the amp and speakers? Or will both play at the same time? Also, does anyone know if Emotiva has more refurbished XDA-2s around or if another sale might go on again...- WhiteThanatos

Yeah... I'm happy too, except it's slowly sinking in that I just put down almost $300 for a pair of headphones and this is my biggest purchase yet.- WhiteThanatos

The Deals Thread II. (READ THE FIRST POST!)
Quick question for those that bought the refurbished HD650 from VMinnovations, do they come with the original box? Or is it one of those plastic bag with headphones only? Thanks.- WhiteThanatos

HD 555's distorted sound; Need burn in?
Kind of late to reply now, but I listen to my HD555 with onboard sound at around 25 volume and I find that fairly loud, with 35 when I feel like going REALLY loud.. But that's just me. Also never had the clipping happen before either (But might be from me listening to it at a considerably lower...- WhiteThanatos

Great bang for buck Headphones
You can go with HD555, I find them relatively good bang/buck, for me the bass is just enough, but then again, I'm not much of a basshead... Another one that I have no tried, but was considering for some time, was the AD700, alot of people seem to recommend them, but I've never actually tried...- WhiteThanatos

Sennheiser HD438 - right for me?

Sennheiser HD438 - right for me?
Well..my new HD555 clamps onto my head, and the HD428 feels like they just float on my head, and if I have any rough movements they feel like they're going to fly off, so loose as in like that. The detachable cables a very nice feature on the HD438 that I wish was on the HD428 too- WhiteThanatos

Hey there, new guy here..
Thread revival! So after all these suggestions..in the end I couldn't help it but get the HD555. I got it mainly because they were cheaper than the AD700, and after looking at other threads, I saw that I can mod these cans later on to something that's sort of like HD595? So yeah, thanks alot...- WhiteThanatos

Sennheiser HD438 - right for me?
Are your HD438 loose? I mean would you say it is loose? Because the HD428 (at least for me) is very loose. Also, how is the detachable cable? Is it easy to take out and switch between the two? And that sounds great so far.- WhiteThanatos

I'd be interested in that, except I don't have a paypal, and I don't have an extra pair of headphones right now, but in a few weeks I'll probably have new headphones..just ordered a pair of HD555 (Even though so many people recommended me AD700..).- WhiteThanatos
