Audeze LCD-2 Orthos
I ordered a set of LCD-2's on Friday. Is Audeze still taking months to ship these out or do they ship out right away these days? Thanks.- LETE

One question for cable believers.
High end cable hawkers are nothing but charlatans and mountebanks! Cable connectors on the other hand can turn lowly ipod earbuds into something that would rival hd800's. I've seen it man.- LETE

Who's your all time favorite artist?
I have to say that abba has more hits that I enjoy than any other group. It's sad really. Most groups are one hit wonders with me.- LETE

Is ear shape important to channeling sound?
When it comes to headphones I have to wonder how ear shape comes into play. I know the ears are shaped like little satellite dishes to direct sound into the ear, but do over ear headphones take advantage of this phenomenon in a way that IEMs can't? Thanks.- LETE

What do you think of Spotify?
I'm enjoying it for the purpose of listening to any old stupid tune that enters my mind instantly. I have most of the music I want for now, but now and again I'll get a silly old song pop into my head out of nowhere and spotify lets my listen to it right away. It's nifty.- LETE

Looking for a good USB DAC to accompany my new laptop
I have an HUD-MX1. It costs almost $200 but I guest it has a pretty well respected DAC for the price. It's the highest end DAC/AMP I own so I can't compare it with higher level equipment, but I know it's gotten a lot of good reviews and should be worth a look if it's in your budget.- LETE

Headphones to compliment the LCD-2?
Thanks for asking this question. I'm interested in buying the LCD-2's as well but I've yet to find a nice portable set of headphones. All my cans are huge and goofy looking, and on top of that, the best ones leak audio like a sieve.- LETE

make AH-D2000's lay flat?
I've done it. I bought a couple #4-40 3/4" screws and 4-40 spinning lock nuts. Those worked great, I left the spring in and added a little locktite to the nut. It spins freely and seems secure.- LETE

make AH-D2000's lay flat?
Can you mod the AH-D2000 so the headphones lay flat? The cans rotate only slightly so there must be something stopping them from rotating a full 360 but since the wiring doesn't pass through the strap, you think it would be easy to let them spin freely. Has anyone tried to mod them that way? Is...- LETE

HUD-MX1 upsamples by default
So, I bought an HUD-MX1 to drive my ah-d2000's today and I've been disappointed. They sound very withdrawn in the vocals and don't stand out as much as my stupid little audio advantage micro II. I was about to give up hope for this little amp when I started poking around windows 7's audio setup...- LETE

CXC 700 R Recall for safety issues
The Sennheiser CXC 700 R headphones are being recalled for safety issues. I have a pair but I don't want to return them if the safety issue doesn't apply to me. Does anyone know why they're being recalled, or what safety issues might warrant a recall. Thanks.- LETE

HD 228 sounds muffled and dull
Well, from what has been said, I don't think I have received a defective set. I'll return this pair in the morning and order a pair of px 200-II headphones. I hope they don't disappoint.- LETE

HD 228 sounds muffled and dull
Compared to my HD280, portapros, and Koss ksc75's, the hd 228 headphones from sennheiser are very quiet and hard to drive. I have to turn the volume all the way up to get them working comfortably. Even then the sound is kind of muffled and not full. I just got the 228's today, I tried the...- LETE

HD 228 Sounds muffled and dull
I've owned the Sennheiser HD280 Pros for about a year. I wear them pretty much all day while I'm at my desk at home but that's only because nobody sees me in here. I can't be seen in public with these things. I love their sound and their vice like grip on my head has grown to be somewhat...- LETE
