Are the hd650 worth it over the hd 600?
I would in your case suggest the dt880. But there is another interesting option. Sound Magic 150 or 200. One open back, another closed. Build quality is okish, everything else top notch. Also do consider the hifi man's. All of the models mentioned will need really good amping, sound magic...- edge111hussain

Beyerdynamic DT990 32 ohm review - Crisp sound with perhaps a touch of Grey "EQ" Poupon (5megapixel photos)
Quote: Well i do have an E7, but was just wondering if i wanna run the same cans via various sources, aka, direct out of my pmp, or via the e7, or pc or even my yamaha avr, in that case considering all is the D-2000/HFi 780 a better bet or would u still go by the dt990 recommendation?- edge111hussain

Beyerdynamic DT990 32 ohm review - Crisp sound with perhaps a touch of Grey "EQ" Poupon (5megapixel photos)
Quote: During some general reading on head-fi, i came across many comments regarding the 990's stating that its treble is really very sharp and almost unsuitable to many users.. true?- edge111hussain

Beyerdynamic DT990 32 ohm review - Crisp sound with perhaps a touch of Grey "EQ" Poupon (5megapixel photos)
just a query.. For fun sounding cans with good soundstage, deep bass and a bit of everything(not lacking in mids, treble etc), of the above which seems like a better choice.. DT 990 32ohms, denon d-2000, hfi 580 or hfi 780??- edge111hussain

E7 enough to drive 250 ohms or higher headphones???
Ah i guess its down to auditioning whatever i can find my hands on and making my choice. I had read a lot of good things abt the 780's and the beyer dt 770/990 on head-fi, hence my constant rambling. Also Auditioning a beyer here in India wont be possible since there is no presence of it here.- edge111hussain

E7 enough to drive 250 ohms or higher headphones???
Hmm, yea d d-2000 seems like the obvious choice though i was hoping for better sound-stage. how would the ATH-900/ad 900 or the ultrasone 780 compare to the D-2000 for me keeping all the other factors in mind?? I have heard the sony xb-700. To me it was all bass and lacking...- edge111hussain

E7 enough to drive 250 ohms or higher headphones???
ummm id hope for a can thats good in terms of midrange treble soundstage etc and has more focus towards bass without sacrificing the other areas. Ive heard the xb and i feel it lacks in other area. SS or similar SS with better bass impact seems to be idle for me. Its got its treble spark...- edge111hussain

E7 enough to drive 250 ohms or higher headphones???
Think i should add here, that i do own a senn 485, 555 and a s4 and ue trifi 10. I love the ue10 SS but i have a fit issue and hence am considering cans with probably similar sound sig but more bass impact and good detailing. The 485's have ample bass but its muddy and not tight. I dont wanna...- edge111hussain

E7 enough to drive 250 ohms or higher headphones???
Hi, Have been considering buying new headphones since quiet some time. My headphones selection will be based on auditioning cans and then ill make the final call. I have though narrowed down my choice to the beyer 770/880/990's, Denon d-2000, ultrasone 780 or any other fun sounding bassy...- edge111hussain

Ultrasone 780 V/S ath m50 or any other- Which ones for me?
So is it safe to assume that the 780 score higher than the d-2000's for movies and for music. Forgot to mention, in music my genres are generally Hip-hop, bollywood and rock. Also is the e7 enough to run th 780's???- edge111hussain
