I'm interested in finding out which would be the best as far as mids are concerned, not taking the price into account. I've had the 555s at a point, i like their mids. Does the 448 bring something else to the table? More detailed? Forward?

Ah, so the DT880 pads are all it takes? I've read that those are somewhat denser and taller than the DT660 pads... is that an issue? My main concern is sweating... so the pleather pads are out... Which is better in this regard? Velour pads or the standard DT660 pads?

I've heard that the DT660s come with some cheap-looking and feeling cloth instead of the usual Beyer (DT770,880,531-like) velour pads. Can one get velour pads that fit the HD660s? Where? At what price? I haven't been able to find any, but JensL said that 531 pads fit the 440/660/860...
