Sony NWZ-ZX1 - 35th Walkman Anniversary model
Is there a place where I can find battery life for all supported formats and bit rates? I'm specifically interested in knowing what the lifetime is for continuous playback of 320kbps MP3 files. Also, I have a PHA-2 DAC connected to my ZX1 via the supplied walkman hi-res cable, but I noticed...- runnerofnight

Sony's DSD-capable PHA-2 portable headphone amp/DAC
I have my ZX1 walkman hooked up to the PHA-2 via the supplied hi-res walkman cable, but it doesn't let me hear any adjustments made to the eq in the sound settings. Is this normal?- runnerofnight

Could I have tinnitus?
I hear the same thing when I use my ear plugs for sleep or when I'm in a very quiet room. It's not a big deal unless you hear it when ambient sound is around you. So you'll want to see a doc if that's the case. You do have tinnitus, but it's very mild and not uncommon. If it's very bad for you...- runnerofnight

What book are you reading right now?
I'm reading Metro by 2033 Dmitry Glukhovsky. It's a great Post Apocalyptic novel, and there's a game based off of it for xbox and pc. The game was actually pretty darn good, and the book adds plenty of depth to the entire scene. I'm also reading Complex Function Theory by Markushevich.- runnerofnight

Chemistry Major, Where to look for jobs?
Abbot Laboratories might be a good spot for you. I've had a couple friends wind up with jobs there. Also, having a minor in math is nice too which demonstrates that you have true analytical thinking. I'm assuming you've taken plenty of proof oriented courses. Also, see if the Applied Physics...- runnerofnight

How you became an audiophile.
lol I was born an audiophile. My dad used to play music off his walkman on my mother's belly, so yeah, that's how it all started.- runnerofnight

Playstation Vita
I just tried one out at a gamestop on my campus. I gotta say it's very nice, definitely better than what I expected. But there are some things that piss me off, and that is the requirement to install the cartridge games you buy onto a proprietary memory card. I at least would've preferred for...- runnerofnight

Rate The Last Movie You Watched
I just finished watching Afterschock on Netflix. This movie turned my cold heart into mush as I wept. I give the movie a 4/5, the effects were incredible, the story was not marred by shoddy translations.- runnerofnight

Hifiman HM-801 sounds no better than my iPod Touch 3G...
I can't get myself to use my 801. It's just sitting there on my desk and hasn't been used for a long time. I love the way it sounds with my ue-18s but it's just the damn software that ruins the experience for me. I bet they haven't released any updates for it either. It's not even "portable"...- runnerofnight

Just bought the IE8's Good decision?
The enclosure of the Triple Fi 10 is fragile, it seems like the plastic easily cracks. You're better off with the Senns.- runnerofnight

Is it just me or are my ue-18s poorly made?
Thanks for your advice. I'm glad it wasn't just me who thought it was gross. I've been a long time customer of their consumer IEMs, and I'd hate to see them go sour in customer service. I will update to let you all know how UE responds to this issue.- runnerofnight

Is it just me or are my ue-18s poorly made?
I received my translucent ue-18 customs on the 6th, and I'm happy with the sound I get out of them. They're my first custom iems, and I may be a tad naive, but this is why I need your help. The right canal tip is quite uncomfortable (I know this can be adjusted), but my main problems with the...- runnerofnight

So the JH16s are out, but how about Ue-18s? How do they both compare?
I happened to receive a pair of ue-18s a couple days ago, but even so, I'm really interested in knowing how they compare to the JH16s. I've looked through other posts only to realize that that ue-18s sound bloomier, but that doesn't tell me much. I'd really like to know what sets these monitors...- runnerofnight
