Noob question... I thought AAC is a completely different audio format? Like we have FLAC, MP3, OGG, AAC, Opus, etc. I am currently using the latest version of LAME because I thought it was best. 

That's perfectly flat in theory, not in practice. I think in practice we have a bumped bass and a little bit less treble. 10db spike going from 5db to 6db. Don't we only need like 8 db for something to sound twice as loud?

The way I read that is, you find HD800 to be bright until you EQ it.   I think FR graphs is the best way we have of showing FR, better than 'it sounded kindda bright'. Who is going to deny a peak in a few higher frequencies of the HD800s? How can that be neutral?
