Grace Design x Massdrop m9XX DAC/Amp Review: First Impressions
Don’t think it would make much difference for HD650. M9xx is not for power, but neutral, clear sound. It really shines with high sensitivity low impedance phones thanks to the extreme low input impedance and noise. If you want something different from what you have, I would explore tube amp.- Roger Gu

Audeze SINE Series
The cipher version should come with two cables - cipher cable and standard 3.5 audio cable. If you don’t have the standard audio cable and look for one to buy, I have one brand new from Audeze listed on eBay now and can certainly sell it cheaper here.- Roger Gu

Audeze SINE Series
Bear with me, but I am still trying to figure out if my pair is normal on the volume, or I should return for an exchange. I used iPad mini to compare the volume btw the cipher cable and the standard cable. The sine sounds at the same level: With the cipher cable, about 50% of iPad max volume...- Roger Gu

Audeze SINE Series
Thanks for your replies. Just to be clear, my volume comment/question is about the standard cable and in other words, purely depend on the source to drive. Not the cipher cable. I did try the cipher with my iPhone 7 and it sounded fine, so I think the cipher cable power the headphone pretty...- Roger Gu

Audeze SINE Series
Hi there, New to SINE and just got a new pair, so I have a couple of questions: 1. How hard is it to drive SINE? It seems not easy to drive. I am using m9xx and need to turn the volume 60+. For comparison, Fostex TH610 sounds louder at the same volume. 2. The air pressure and sealing effect...- Roger Gu

Grace Design x Massdrop m9XX DAC/Amp Review: First Impressions
Never mind, I just installed the driver and update the firmware. Grace website lists it as v2.2, but it is actually 2.02.- Roger Gu

Grace Design x Massdrop m9XX DAC/Amp Review: First Impressions
Anyone updated to the latest firmware - 2.2? Any caveat? I am currently using the windows default U2 driver and it works fine, but it seems I have to install Grace driver to get the DFU app to update the firmware. Any other way? Thanks!- Roger Gu

Campfire Audio Vega (and Dorado and Lyra II) - Head-Fi TV
About the driver flex, I had a chance to have two pairs of Lyra II and the weird thing was one pair had the driver flex on both side, but the other pair did not at all. Any idea?- Roger Gu

Audio Technica ATH-E70, ATH-E50, ATH-E40 IEMs announced at NAMM 2016
I used to think the cable thing was BS till today and I was wrong. I got the customized cable for E70, with 4N copper and silver(10 thread copper and 5 thread silver mixed, not plated). The bass is tighten up, smoother. The vocal separation is better. Now, I am wondering how the ATH official...- Roger Gu

Grace Design x Massdrop m9XX DAC/Amp Review: First Impressions
Yes, I have and the device is Surface Book. I tried it by uninstalling the drive Grace provided and the saw Windows device manage show an unknown device - Grace something. Then I tried searching for driver and windows update. Neither worked. At the end, I reinstalled the Grace's driver back.- Roger Gu

Audeze SINE Series
Thanks. Do you still remember what material the grill of the open back is? Is it plastic or metal? Interesting, the MSRP of the open back is $150 more than the close one. Not sure if it is more expensive to build or just a marketing strategy to charge premium for open.- Roger Gu
