I vote for the A5's. I think that starting off with the better set of speakers would be the route that I would take in your position.

I finally settled on the V-DAC yesterday because of all the recommendations, it hopefully arrives tomorrow. I haven't heard it but I will  add to the forum my findings after I get a chance to test it.
