I thought it was time for a new update. My Cavalli LC2 has never been turned off since Nov 2016, and sounds great. Same with my Bifrost. JRiver/Schiit Multi-Bit Bifrost/Cavalli LC 2 XLR Output/Focal Elear Headphones. I'm still loving it

I had a similar breakdown and repair just after I got my LC2. Repaired and returned in about 10 days and it has worked flawlessly ever since. I listen to it a lot in my office where I have a Bifrost multibit feeding the LC into my Focal Elear. The Cavalli house sound is something I really love.

For what it's worth, I had problems with a Schiit Multibit Bifrost. It was causing strange balance problems. Schiit send me a new DAC as I was sending them the bad one. Great customer service.

I had my LC 2.0 repaired twice within a month or so of the original delivery for reasons similar to yours. It's been great ever since, and I use it daily. I agree with you about upper end gear shouldn't fail twice. Cavalli is not the only one. Last year a friend of my end bought a high end...

I have to say you nailed it. For full disclosure: I've owned an Elear since January, running them through a Schiit Bifrost Multibit/Cavalli Liquid Carbon, and it all sounds good to me. No complaints.

I'm using a Bifrost Multi-bit and I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading to the Gungnir. When I first got my Elear I was using an Asgard 2, which sounded great, and then I switched to a Liguid Carbon (balanced), and I'm in heaven. Now, I'm thinking about that Gungnir. What do you think about...

Well said. The Elear is a great headphone, and for me, at least for the foreseeable future, end of game. I would like to say that the dip in the 4k range you mentioned is definitely not an unpleasant part of the experience.

The weight is a non-issue for me; however, this is an issue for some. The Elear, for me, is very comfortable. Do you have access to an audio store where you could try them on? I did, so it was easy for me to actually try them, which obviously led to me buying them.

I wear 7 1/4-1/2 hat, and for me, the Elear is comfortable for hours.

I'm listening to the new TajMo album with my Elears through the LC2. The LC2 is broken in and sounds high and tight and I love the sound.

Are you using balanced or unbalanced. It my understanding that Wells believes balanced is inferior to unbalanced, and that's why the Milo comes standard with unbalanced RCA inputs only. (balanced inputs being an option)

The Asgard 2 is the wrong amp for the Elear.  It's an entry level amp and the Elear is not entry level.  I have the Bifrost Multibit and I upgraded the amp to a Cavalli, the Elear is quite happy with this combo.

The Elears do offer a musically realistic experience, very much so, and if you're looking for a laid back, high definition experience just look to your source.  Put on some sweet jazz, acoustic guitar, or something similarly mellow and you're there.  But, if you want punchy that will be waiting...

I'm listening to Lightin' Hopkins (D3,/Eight Classic Albums), LC2 / Focal Elear, and the way they sound together, I wouldn't trade away either...sweet music.    The LC2 is almost broken in and wow; the Elear is also close. Much joy still ahead.

I have to agree. I find them comfortable, no squeeze, and not too heavy.  I wish everyone could find them comfortable; I love the way they sound.

I don't know about minimal sound at the lowest volume but before my LC 2.0 I never at an amp, pre/amp, or receiver be anything but quiet when I turned the volume down;  they did fix mine so if their is a recognized threshold I was above it.   I'm not trying to disparage Cavalli amps. I'm quiet...
