A Three-Way Headphone Shootout (aka help me choose my first pair of Audiophile headphones)
I wouldn't recommend the K702 for the music you listen to, as they are more suited to classical and acoustic. The Beyerdynamic DT990 is probably your best choice, but the Asus Essence may have a little trouble driving them.- mongolianfly

New lossless file format: mp3HD
This seems like a way to get the general public informed about lossless, and perhaps to keep people listening to .mp3 files rather than switch to FLAC as PMPs continue growing in storage space.- mongolianfly

20th hour of ringing in ear after headphone accident. Permanent?
A few years ago, a similar incident occurred where a PSU blew up in front of me. I've found that loud noises exacerbate the tinnitus, so you should avoid them for a while. It might not ever completely go away.- mongolianfly

M-stage vs Asus Essence ST vs Others <$600
I've been looking for a suitable amp to drive my K702s for around a week now, but still have no definite answer. How would the Matrix M-stage compare to an amp costing around $500? Many of you feel the M-Stage drives them well, but is it worth paying twice as much for, from what I gather, a...- mongolianfly

24bit vs 16bit, the myth exploded!
Just a minor correction, 144db + a 50db noise floor does not equal 180db. That's like saying a few people talking at 60db each is as loud as a lawn mower. Quote:- mongolianfly
