    Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)

I recently got the Singularity Board for my HE-7. Today I replaced it. Soldering and rewiring was no problem. The problem is: No sound comes out. Switching between inputs is working, but no matter what input I feed with signal, no sound. I carefully checked the connections several times without...

    Audio-GD HE Series: HE-9, HE-7, HE-1, HE-350

Some days ago a let do the DSP-Update for my HE-7 as described here: http://www.audio-gd.com/Master/Master-7_384/DSPupdataEN.htm . My conclusion: Strong recommendation! The differences are really audible: More transparency, better soundstage in width and depth, better instrument separation...

    Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)

Hi Kingwa, thank you very much for your fast support. Downloading Quartus 12.1 at official Altera website is working without any problems (after registration). Now I'm prepared for updating the new DSP version.

    Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)

Did anybody succeed in downloading the "Tool" file as linked on Kingwas website http://www.audio-gd.com/Master/Master-7_384/DSPupdataEN.htm? Clicking on the download button of the checked "Tool" offers me just another version of BaiduNetdisk_5.5.0.exe As Kingwa wrote I have to install this...

    Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)

if there's just a tight difference between Yggdrasil and Master 7 I'd expect, that Master HE-7 is superior. It's a different world in comparisson to Master 7 regarding bass fundament, precision, dynamic, resolution, wideness and depth of stage, instrument separation, localisation ... in every...

    Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)

Audio-GD Master HE-7 Hi all, I recently upgraded my setup from Master 7 to a Master HE-7 and I am very happy with it. It's totally another DAC than the Master 7 regarding SQ. If someone might be interested in, here is a link to my review...

    UpTone Audio USB REGEN

Duke40, I did the same. I also ordered the Corning USB 10m. Unfortunately it's sold out too. So June will be a great month for the audiophiles. :-). I will report. Kind regards - Fujak

    UpTone Audio USB REGEN

I did it too. But I have to train my patience, since the next Regen will be sent at the end of May. Thank you very much to jtwrace and Duke40 for your excellent reviews. I will add mine, when the Regen will have arrived. Kind regards - Fujak

Audio-gd Master 1 preamp any good?

I own my Master 1 in connection to Master 7 DAC since 7 months and I am fully satisfied with this preamp, and I never would listen to music witout this. Although Master 7 DAC has an excellent output stage, the Master 1 adds a lot more details and dynamic to my active speakers. Master 1 +7 are...

    Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)

I'm using MQn-Player since two weeks. Although there is nearly no comfortable GUI the sound compensates any inconvenience. The MQn player is imho the end of any digital harshness - sounding extremely "analogue". The following ranking might give an orientation (of course regarding my...

    Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)

@ mowglycdb: I'm missing information about the kind of signal feeding in. A plot spektrum shows afaik the spectral distribution of frequency in relation to time. What you probably intend to proof would be shown more clearly imho by a so called logsweep. @ purrin: that looks coherent.

    Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)

Hi Drez, Alrainbow, DACLadder, thank you very much for your answers. As far as I have understood you: mission impossible. Internal output of USB-32 is I2S only. Then next step will be: a good DDC. Best regards Fujak

    Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)

Hi Master 7 users, I have the Master 7 in my setup feeded by Audio-PCs (JPlay) via a Hiface One DDC and a following Reclocker Cascade of three Mutec MC-3+. A graphical view can be seen at the following link: http://www.aktives-hoeren.de/viewtopic.php?p=73363#p73363 Now I intend to change the...

    Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)

After reading all posts in this thread I decided to give it a try and ordered a Master 7. Since 2 weeks Master 7 has a firm place within my setup, and everyday I enjoy listening to the music. I strongly recommend Master 7 without any doubt as he is (to my ears) really a Master of DACs. I have...

    Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)

Happy Camper, thanks for your answer. I currently use a dedicated Audio-PC (JPlay) -> Hiface (with external PSU) -> Apogee Big Ben (used as Reclocker) -> RME Fireface UC (on Adam Tensor Epsilon + Sub). The new DAC should be superior over this chain. Of course it is impossible to decide...

    Audio-Gd Master 7 - Discrete Fully Balanced DAC (PCM1704)

Hi folks,   after reading the excellent review of Currawong and after reading 28 pages of this thread I'm hardly thinking about buying a Master 7. But given the fact, that there's no return policy, I want to ask the owner of a Master 7 (rsp. upgraded Reference 7.1) whether there are...

what player do you guys use on your PC?

@ Ektalog: I'm also using Foobar 2k but as you told, I appreciate cplay the best sounding player - especially in connection with cmp-shell (= cmp2). There are many people in German hifi-forum calling it "vodoo", but there is definitely a better and more natural sound in comparisson to any other...

    Teradak Teralink-X2 released 19.1.10

I can't confirm any difficulties using the Tenor Driver (vers. 1.01) under WinXP SP3. Quite the contrary: in my experience the Tenor driver is the best sounding option for the Teralink X2. So may be there are other reasons for your problems. Kind regards Fujak
