I just ordered an O2 amp, and I hope that it brings out more visceral bass (or more bass for that matter). My bass vents are 80% closed, and the bass gets muffled when I open them more.

I see people make iPod LODs and 3.5mm-3.5mm interconnects with three wires, some with four wires, and some with even more!   Can I use three wires instead of four for DIY iPod LODs and also 3.5mm-3.5mm interconnects? Also can you please explain to me what the differences are?   Thanks...
